Anime Captain Tsubasa Becomes the Inspiration of Football Players

Anime Captain Tsubasa Becomes the Inspiration of Football Players - For those of you who were born in the 90s, of course you know this Japanese Captain, who is very good at playing football and is famous for the Lightning Kick in the Children's soap opera, Captain Tsubasa.

You must be familiar with the famous Japanese soccer cartoon, Captain Tsubasa. This cartoon tells the story of an 11 year old boy, Ozora Tsubasa, who has extraordinary abilities in football which his coach, Roberto Hongo then trains, to become a world-class player. The character of the footballer who was loved by children at this time was first initiated by Yoichi Takahashi in 1981 in the form of a comic (manga) which was released in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine (Shueisha) until 1988.

The comic quickly gained such high popularity that it didn't take long for the production house Tsuchida Production to adapt it to an anime series on the small screen on October 10, 1983. The series has now also aired with various voiceover versions in the world, including in Indonesia. This series is also an inspiration for several international footballers such as Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta, Fernando Torres, to the aging Italian player, Alessandro Del Piero.

Now, you can feel the sensation of the unique kicks in the cartoon. This breakthrough was initiated by the cartoon creator in collaboration with Sony Research Development Technology entitled "Super Experience Stage: Captain Tsubasa" which will be staged at the Zepp Blue Theater, Roppongi from 18 August to 3 September 2017 in 23 shows.

The cast for the theater are Motoiki Seiya who plays the main character, Tsubasa Ozora, Ryusuke Nakamura as Genzo Wakabayashi, Yuho Matsui (Kojiro Hyuga), Ko Kanegai (Taro Misaki), Shuto Washio (Jun Misugi), Soichiro Soriyashi (Hikaru Matsuyama), Kazumi Doi (Makoto Soda), Kato Mao (Jun Nitta), and Koki (Hiroshi Jito).

This show is directed by Kenichi Ebina or known as "Ebiken", a famous choreographer and dancer who has won the talent search event "America's Got Talent". He will also be assisted by Tsuyoshi Kaseda, acting as story writer and assistant director and Kazuya Matsunaga (also a Japanese member of Cirque du Soleil) who acts as a choreographer.

The show that is displayed is not just an ordinary theater, but with special technology. They adopted a technology called "haptic sense" technology, a technology that allows the audience to feel the direct "vibrations" of Captain Tsubasa's character kicks. Apart from martial arts movements, special dances and computer illusion techniques, the use of the latest Virtual Reality (VR) technology is also used to make the sensation of players' kicking moves become real.

This show can be enjoyed by spending 12,800 yen (around 1.5 million rupiah) for one show. "Haptic sense" technology is able to simulate various kinds of flavors such as feeling the touch of objects by stimulating their sense of taste. Later, the audience will use the haptic sensor available in the theater and feel various kinds of vibrations, depending on the moves being performed.
